Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Specialist to join our team of APC Technical Solutions experts at NZ Safety Blackwoods.

You will play a pivotal role in achieving our sales and margin targets in the Auckland and Northland territory.

Your primary objective will be to drive continuous growth and ensure the seamless supply of our technical solutions, products, and services.

Prior experience in the Gas Detection and Mechanical (Industrial hose and flow control) segment would be preferable but not essential for the right candidate.Role responsibilities will include : Drive sales and margin growth in the Auckland and Northland region while effectively managing the process.

Formulate action plans to boost revenue and achieve targetsDrive sales growth with customers and support account managers in lead generation coaching.Deliver compelling presentations and provide training to customers, effectively communicating the value of our products and services.Lead special projects focused on target industries, markets, and customers with strong leadership, while managing RFP and contract negotiations to achieve favourable company outcomes.Ensure strict adherence to company policies and safety protocols in all work conducted.Monitor the sales pipeline and proactively track opportunities for maximum efficiency.Experienced with sales reporting tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and other CRM systemsFoster collaboration and establish partnerships with other business units, leveraging their expertise for mutual success.Skills and experience requirement : At least five years of relevant industry experience in technical product sales or account management, preferably with a background in mechanical services related to hose and flow control or gas detection.Demonstrated expertise in consultative sales and effective negotiation techniques.Proven track record in building and maintaining business relationships.Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills.A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.Proficient in time management and adept problem-solving.Highly organised professional with a strong commitment to work ethic.A tertiary qualification in a relevant field - engineering / electrical (preferred)About Us : NZ Safety Blackwoodsis the country's leading supplier of industrial products, personal protective equipment, packaging and work wear, as well as industry specific training, testing and consulting services.NZ Safety Blackwoods is all about taking care – taking care of our customers, our community and each other.Benefits : A competitive remuneration package + car + incentive!
