Job Description
As the Receptionist at Lumino Ponsonby, you'll be the friendly face and calm voice that welcomes our patients and supports our team behind the scenes.
While your primary focus will be front-of-house reception, this role also involves a variety of administrative tasks that are essential to the smooth, professional running of the practice.
Your role will be key in creating a welcoming environment for patients, while also ensuring the day-to-day operations run efficiently and accurately.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
Greeting patients in person and over the phone with a warm and professional approach
Managing appointment bookings, confirmations, and follow-ups
Handling patient enquiries via phone and email
Processing payments and managing invoicing and banking tasks
Maintaining accurate patient records and completing general admin duties
Liaising with external organisations for claims, funding, and patient documentation
Supporting the clinical team to deliver seamless, high-quality care
Qualifications
Your experience and approachYou'll bring strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a team-focused attitude.
Experience in a receptionist role is essential, and a background in healthcare or dental is highly desirable.
You'll be someone who thrives in a busy environment, is comfortable multitasking, and brings a calm, friendly presence to the front desk.
We're looking for someone with
Proven receptionist experience (healthcare or dental industry preferred)
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence using computer systems and managing scheduling software
A proactive, professional, and positive attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Hours of Work
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday : 7 : 30am – 5 : 00pm
Tuesday : 7 : 30am – 7 : 00pm
Saturday (on rotation) : 7 : 30am – 5 : 00pm
