The R&D Specialist NZ is responsible for research and development, innovation and productivity delivery with regards to coffee and tea ingredients.

Working alongside the Quality and Production teams, the R&D Specialist NZ has responsibility to support local quality processes and KPIs, particularly with regards to sensory quality.

The role also supports the delivery of New Product Development and CAPEX projects, working with local and global stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.In the role you will be responsible for : Identification and delivery of cost optimization projects with regards to coffee and tea for the Auckland factory, including waste minimization, efficiency and CAPEX projectsChampioning quality through skilled and objective sensory evaluation of our productsSupports the commercialization of NPD & Operational processes and is a conduit for the sharing of coffee knowledge to the business, including training of associates as requiredSupports material productivity improvements in the local Auckland factoryChampion innovation, quality and sensory of productsQualificationsWe're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience : 3 years' experience in a similar roleCoffee roasting experience and blend development capabilityExperience in tea blend development highly desirableExperience in sensory evaluationBroad technical knowledge of food manufacturing and technologiesProven track record of Commodity procurement within a budget.A minimum of 5 years' experience within the tea or coffee industry across multiple areasAdditional InformationWhat's in it for you?
