Wage : $ 28.00 - $ 30.00 per hour

Hours : minimum 30 hours per week (rostered shifts, including weekends and evenings), maximum around 50 hours per week

About Us : Emperor Chinese Takeaways is a locally owned and well-established takeaway shop offering a delicious mix of Kiwi-style fish and chips, burgers, and authentic Chinese stir-fried dishes such as fried rice and noodles.

We are looking for reliable and skilled Cook to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities : As a Cook, you will be responsible for :

• Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, including traditional Kiwi-style fish and chips, burgers, and a range of Chinese dishes such as fried rice, noodles, and stir-fried meals, in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Operating cooking equipment such as deep fryers, woks, grills, and ovens safely and efficiently
• Monitoring food quality, taste, and portion sizes to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
• Storing and handling food safely and following cleaning and maintenance schedules
• Coordinating food preparation during busy periods to ensure smooth and timely service
• Assisting in menu planning, stock rotation, and inventory control
• Training and supervising kitchen assistants when required
