About the role and who we are looking for :

We are looking for an enthusiastic

Fixed TermCook

to work at

WairarapaHospital, Masterton

This is a part-time job offers 28 Hours a week, commencing as soon as possible until 31 December 2026.

You will be required to :

prepare bulk dishes for patient meals

prepare single special items

at times assist with ordering / receiving and stock rotation

comply with Food safety standards

have the ability to work to time frames

have a good understanding of food allergens

assist with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

Ideal skills and experience you will have :

If you're our ideal candidate you will be a team player, passionate about food and have excellent time management skills.

You will have outstanding customer service and be flexible, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.

Having the ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team is essential.

Ideally you will have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.You will be a pro at Health & Safety but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
