What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Village Manager, you’ll be responsible for the care centre’s daily operations and strategic leadership, including :

• Full accountability for staffing, budgeting, and compliance
• Leading and coaching your team with a strong focus on recruitment, development, and recognition
• Building meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and stakeholders – and being their trusted point of contact, especially in sensitive situations
• Supporting sound clinical decision-making and ensuring quality care at all times
• Managing audits, policy implementation, and working with NASC, Te Whatu Ora and other key external agencies

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, with some occasional on-call responsibilities that include weekends and nights.

You’ll bring experience in a clinical environment with a deep understanding of the aged care sector and Te Whatu Ora standards. You’ll be an experienced manager with solid aged care experience in New Zealand, ready for a new challenge, you’ll be passionate about leading people, driving quality outcomes, and making a real difference. You’re someone who leads with empathy, builds trust, and can bring out the best in others. You’re confident balancing people leadership with operational management, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Desired Profile

Experience in a clinical setting with NZ aged care regulatory knowledge and Te Whatu Ora standards; strong leadership and people-management capabilities; ability to drive quality outcomes and culture in a new, state-of-the-art facility.
