We are a great place to work where you can thrive and deliver your best.About the roleResponsibilitiesAs a Casual Cook, you will assist the Food Services Team Leader to prepare and serve tasty and nutritious meals for lunch and dinner.Supervise others and contribute to meal preparation with confidence in the kitchen.Prepare morning and afternoon tea, as well as daily meals.Ensure meals are served at the appropriate size and temperature.Maintain daily food and fridge temperature checks.Operate within food hygiene standards and protocols.Be considerate of residents during mealtimes and meet their needs appropriately.Our kitchen and dining hours do not operate late into the evenings, providing a work / life balance with no late nights in the kitchen.About youSkillsPassion for the wellbeing of older people; enthusiastic, patient, well organized with good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.Share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.Ability to drive a manual van.Experience in a commercial kitchen, preparing meals for large groups with mixed dietary needs.Good communication skills and a person-centred approach.High standards of personal hygiene and appearance.Food safety / hygiene certificate.Ability to use various technology platforms for daily operations.Enjoy contributing to the team and impacting residents\' experiences.What's in it for me?
