Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with authentic techniques and restaurant standards.
The role includes ensuring food safety, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and supporting kitchen operations to deliver high-quality meals in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present authentic Chinese cuisine (e.g. stir-fries, dumplings, noodledishes, hot pot, etc.) according to the restaurant's menu.
Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene and quality standards, including properstorage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as woks, rice cookers, steamers, andknives safely and efficiently.
Assist in planning daily food preparation and coordinating with kitchen staff to manage timing and presentation of dishes.
Monitor inventory and inform management of supply needs or low stock.
Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils according to food safetyregulations.
Follow portion control standards and minimize food wastage.
Work effectively with the team during busy service periods to maintain speed andconsistency.
Adhere to workplace health and safety policies, and report any hazards or incidents tomanagement.
Job requirement : applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
An AZQF level 4 qualification
At least three years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, sauces, and ingredients.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
