Health And Safety Coordinator

About the role : We are excited to be recruiting a Health & Safety Coordinator for a leading facilities management company who's passionate about keeping people safe, systems sharp, and standards high.

In this role you will drive health and safety initiatives across a multi-site franchise network - driving compliance, training, and audit readiness while supporting some HR processes.

Key Responsibilities : Implementing and maintaining health & safety systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with NZ legislation and internal standards.

Investigating incidents, near misses, and notifiable events, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and closure of corrective actions.

Supporting ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 45001) by preparing documentation, coordinating audits, and maintaining compliance registers.

Facilitating training and inductions, including refresher courses, and onboarding sessions for new employees and franchisees.

Maintaining accurate HSEQ records, including hazard registers, incident logs, and training documentation.

Providing first-line HR support to franchisees, assisting with recruitment documentation, employment packs, and contract transitions.

Coordinating site-level audits and inspections, ensuring follow-up actions are tracked and completed.

Collaborating with franchisees and employees, building strong relationships and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
