- We have an exciting 2-year fixed-term opportunity for someone to join our busy National Property Team.
Based at Nga Tai Ki Te Puku Headquarters, Tauranga, this role reports to the Manager Regional Property.The property coordinator supports the management of Fire and Emergency New Zealand's regional property portfolio.
This role will primarily cover Waikato and Bay of Plenty, and may be required to cover the Tairawhiti District, with occasional travel outside these areas.
You'll be responsible for overseeing maintenance of leased and owned properties, and liaising with stakeholders, users, external providers, and contractors to ensure the effective scheduling and delivery of planned, programmed, and reactive maintenance.Your role will also include :
Coordinating construction and maintenance projects, including refurbishments and upgrades.Providing administrative support, including budget forecasting, property records, and insurance claims.Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure efficient property management.Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role :To be successful in this role, you will have :Experience managing or coordinating construction, refurbishment, or building projects, including working with contractors, in a property, facilities, or construction environment.The ability to build and maintain strong relationships and influence stakeholders for win-win outcomes.A good understanding of the building regulatory system.Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office.A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.Excellent time management, planning, and engagement skills.The salary range for this role is$102,293 – $113,659, dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity responsible for reducing unwanted fires, responding to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents, natural disasters, and supporting increased community resilience.Our vision is to build stronger communities and protect what matters most to the people within them.We are proud to be recognised as New Zealand's most trusted public sector agency.
