• We're looking for an experienced leader to lead a recently established team, shaping how we deliver property projects across our nationwide portfolio. This is a pivotal role where you'll define delivery approaches, provide technical leadership, and support both internal and external project managers to achieve great outcomes.The Ministry of Social Development is a people-centred organisation. • About you | Mōu
• You'll be a natural leader with a strong background in property project delivery. You'll bring a strategic mindset, a collaborative approach, and a sharp eye for risk, quality, and value.Key experience and attributes we're seeking :
• A tertiary qualification in a design, construction, engineering or project management-related discipline
• 10+ years of senior-level experience delivering large-scale property projects within complex, distributed organisations
• In-depth understanding of commercial property legislation, regulatory compliance, and health, safety, and security standards
• Experience managing or supporting technical, multi-disciplinary teams in a national or regional delivery context
• Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder needs and deliver projects on time, within scope and budget
• Strong leadership capability with a track record of leading cross-functional project teams and fostering a culture of excellence
• Excellent risk management skills and sound judgment in high-stakes environments
• A collaborative and adaptable style — someone who connects people, builds trust, and drives momentum
