Overview
Join the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) as a Ministerial Advisor and help keep New Zealand's leaders connected, informed, and supported.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
You'll be part of a supportive team that manages Official Information Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, and Written Parliamentary Questions, helping ensure Ministers and senior leaders have the information they need when they need it.
What You'll Be Doing
Helping to coordinate and draft responses to information requests, Ministerial correspondence, and Parliamentary questions
Supporting proactive release processes and managing key workflows
Producing accurate reporting to keep the business and Ministers' offices informed
Building relationships across DPMC, Ministers' offices, and other agencies
Learning how government operates and contributing to work that impacts New Zealanders every day
What We're Looking For
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Enjoy solving problems and using logic to understand complex issues
Are organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Are curious about how government works and want to be part of it
Bring a positive, collaborative, and proactive approach to their work
You don't need to have prior government experience — we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
