Fixed Term / Secondment opportunity until end of June 2026 based in our Wellington office
Salary range : $85,537 to $101,911 + Kiwisaver
As the Senior Advisor you will be part of a team responsible for providing advice and supporting the MBIE ministerial and parliamentary services system.
Working in a dynamic and changing environment, you will play an important role by providing expert advice and guidance across MBIE on official information requests, ombudsman complaint processes as well as managing and coordinating the Parliamentary and Select Committee accountability processes.
MBIE is a complex and multi-vote ministry, which means that you need to be able to work across the whole organisation and make connections between the various aspects of the organisation to be able to prepare a cohesive approach to the parliamentary accountability processes.

Knowledge and experience across the Parliamentary and Select Committee accountability processes, and ministerial services systems.
A strategic analytical thinker who can make connections between various aspects of the organisation and is able to prepare a cohesive approach across the organisation.
Confident and enjoy challenging the status quo to develop better ways of doing things.
The ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and to develop trust and credibility with senior managers, staff and key internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative, sound judgement and discretion.
Exceptional teamwork and collaborative abilities, committed to supporting a positive team and branch culture, and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with others.
Highly developed communication and writing skills.
