The focus is on handling complaints against government agencies, undertaking investigations and inspections, and encouraging good administration.
The Ombudsman is independent and impartial, with the goal of fairness for all.
#### Mo to matou tira – About the teamThe Strategic Advice Team supports the Office by providing high level policy and practice advice.
#### Mo te turanga - About the roleThe role of the Principal Advisors in the Strategic Advice Team is to provide high level strategic advice on matters relating to policy and professional practice, particularly in the Ombudsmen Act, official information and protected disclosures areas.
This includes external advice and submissions on matters such as Bills, Cabinet papers and agency policy and procedure, as well as internal advice and support for our operational practice.
Reporting to the Chief Practice Advisor, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise on matters affecting the Ombudsmen's jurisdiction and practice.
