We are looking for a sustainability and accreditation expert to lead our internal sustainability strategy and engagements, and the accreditations that are the core of our reputation for integrity.
This is a permanent position, preferably based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
Key responsibilities include the following :
Leading a positive relationship with our accreditation body and other ESG initiatives, ensuring that relevant requirements are met
Developing and managing delivery of Toitu's accreditations strategy, in alignment with the business's strategic goals
Determining programme changes needed to align with relevant standards and any impacts these may have on existing accreditations
Overseeing the maintenance of Toitu's quality management system
Building external collaboration that drives standards development and alignment with relevant international standards
Providing leadership across Toitu in accreditation, impartiality and the independence of our work
About you
You are the sort of person who will positively drive change in line with lead practice and international standards.
You will have strong sustainability reporting experience, including GHG reporting and other leading sustainability initiatives, along with experience in implementing standards in an accredited organisation or certification body.
You will be highly organised and proactive, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate people across Toitu to meet and exceed accreditation requirements.
The incumbent may be required to travel from time to time to support the activities of Toitu Envirocare.
While flexibility is a key part of the Toitu way of working, we would like you to spend time at your local office on a regular basis.
