You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with accommodation providers and agencies, to ensure appropriate accommodation and support options are available across communities.This role is at the forefront of creating positive partnerships, it is integral to the interface between Ara Poutama Aeoteroa (The Department of Corrections) and a vast array of organisations and community groups across New Zealand, as well as internal stakeholders such as Custody, Pae Ora and High-Risk Team.The role is based in the Bay of Plenty (Te Moana a Toi); therefore, you will be expected to travel throughout the region.
To this end you will be comfortable facilitating and presenting across a variety of forums and be resilient in nature to manage the sensitivities of the topic.Ideally you will present with a good understanding of risk management and knowledge in relation to high-risk offenders, along with relevant legislation.
However, this is not essential as transferrable skills are incredibly important combined with an affiliation for the positive essential work Corrections undertakes.
