The ESOL / learning support coordinator will be a key role within Clifton Terrace Model Schools, supporting our commitment to inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive education.
We are seeking an experienced, registered teacher with a current full practicing certificate and a strong track record of supporting diverse learners.
You will be responsible for :
Supporting students in accessing timely and appropriate assistance.
Assisting teachers in addressing diverse learning needs.
Facilitating easier access and understanding of school learning support for families.
Strengthening school wide systems and processes.
Facilitating ongoing professional development for kaiako.
Key knowledge and qualification requirements for this role include :
Demonstrated experience working with children who have learning support needs.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with parents, whanau, and communities.
Ability to confidently engage at a school or kura leadership level.
Ability to provide culturally responsive support that upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
