Learning support coordinator

Overview

Part time, permanent, FTTE up to 0.5.

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, certificated teacher. Subjects taught include English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, and the Arts.

Responsibilities

• Support learners by understanding their needs and providing timely, culturally responsive support so they can thrive, belong and progress in all aspects of school life.
• Lift capability to better meet the needs of learners and to strengthen their connections with early learning services.
• Encourage parents and whānau to partner successfully with their school and develop an understanding of learning support processes and who to contact if needed.
• Access services and resources to support learners.
• Influence others to ensure all learners receive the appropriate support to enhance their learning and progress.

Qualifications

The candidate we are looking for is a registered teacher, with a current practising certificate and relevant teaching qualification.
