We are seeking an experienced registered teacher who has a passion for working with and supporting primary age students with the ability to work alongside their teachers, families and whānau. This position is for 0.4 FTTE fixed-term part-time for Mondays and Tuesdays beginning in term 1 of 2026.

The Learning Support Coordinator will be employed by Te Kura o Hau Karetu on behalf of the Upper Hutt Cluster Group for Trentham School. We are a cluster of schools who work closely together, and believe all children of Upper Hutt belong to us and are “our responsibility”.

The LSC will ensure students with moderate learning and behaviour challenges are well supported to engage and experience success in the classroom and at school.

You will support teacher practice, and the coordination of several stakeholders within and outside of the school, including building relationships with other LSCs in the cluster.

We would like you to have knowledge of culturally responsive pedagogy.
