Classroom Teacher

OverviewTe Horo School, a school of approximately 200 students near Otaki, is looking for a passionate and versatile classroom teacher to join our close-knit teaching team.The role is suitable for a Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) certificated teacher.

Subjects to be taught include English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, and The arts.

The specific year level within Years 1–8 will be determined based on the successful candidate's strengths and experience to ensure a good fit for the teacher, students and the learning community.ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons across Years 1–8 in the listed subjects.Contribute to a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.Collaborate with the teaching team to support student achievement and wellbeing.Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, families, and colleagues as appropriate.QualificationsCertificated teacher eligible to teach in New Zealand.Ability to teach across Year 1–8 and deliver instruction in the listed subject areas.Strong communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to student outcomes.How to applyPlease send your CV and direct enquiries to : Physical address : 124 School Road, Te Horo, Otaki
