Learning Support Coordinator

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher.

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.

Raurimu Avenue School is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about student achievement and removing the barriers for students to enable learning success.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the following skills :

Effective communication

Cultural competency, including commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the development of te reo Maori for our learning context

Early identification of learning needs and the ability to provide individualized supports

Assessment and monitoring

Adaptability and problem solving

Digital and data fluency

Facilitation and coaching skills

Leading and influencing the team when required

Capability development.

The following knowledge and qualifications are required.

Be a registered teacher

Knowledge of child development and learning

Knowledge of educational practices

Knowledge of the application of data

Bicultural knowledge and practice.
