Overview
Front Office Team Leader – Ibis Wellington. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) working across a rotating 7-day roster. Located in Wellington, New Zealand.

Responsibilities
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of front office operations to include front desk, reception / cashiering procedures and reservations.
- Ensure department policies and procedures are understood by all employees and observed in tasks performed.
- Assist in conducting training for all Front Office employees.
- Direct daily front office operations.
- Greet and escort Very Important Guests and attend to their special needs within the hotel’s capabilities.
- Attend to credit problems.
- Ensure efficient and courteous service.
- Communicate new and updated information regarding policies, rates and general hotel information.
- Supervise front cashiers and assist with accounting problems.
- Control hotel duty keys and floats whilst on duty.
- Perform other duties as directed by Front Office Management.
- Assist Front Office Management in formulating new procedures to improve the Front Office Department.
Note : This is a full-time role with a 40-hour week across a rotating 7-day roster with a wage of $27.68 per hour.
Qualifications
At least 6 to 12 months experience in front office operations in hotels (supervisory level preferred).Motivated, team player, proactive, takes initiative.Strong organizational skills.Current New Zealand General Manager’s certificate or ability to obtain.LCQ Certification or ability to obtain.Ability to work a flexible roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.In charge of the hotel in absence of the management team.NZ residency or permanent NZ work visa required (immigration visa sponsorship not available).Benefits
