Chinese Delish is looking for a talented and creative Chinese Chef to join our team. As one of the busiest Chinese restaurants in New Zealand, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dishes that delight our customers every day.

We're seeking a chef who not only excels in traditional Chinese cooking but also has a strong ability to develop and introduce new dishes regularly.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Prepare a variety of Chinese dishes to a high standard, ensuring excellent taste and presentation.

2. Innovate and create new dishes, updating a portion of the menu daily to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.

3. Use local New Zealand ingredients creatively, considering both availability and cost-efficiency, to develop new dishes.

4. Maintain a high level of food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen.

5. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.

What We’re Looking For :

1. At least 2 years of experience as a Chinese Chef or a similar role, OR relevant NZQF level 4 qualification or above

2.  A proven ability to innovate and create new dishes on a regular basis, taking into account ingredient availability and cost management.

3. Knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques and a passion for both traditional and contemporary Chinese cuisine.

4. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

5. A team player with good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
