ACFR is seeking an exceptionally organised and proactive dedicated Administrator to provide essential operational support for the Centre.
This is a dynamic and varied position where your strong self-management skills and high level of professionalism will directly contribute to the success and strategic advancement of ACFR.
This role is a part-time, hourly-paid position.
ACFR Administrator will play a key role in managing the Centre's day-to-day operations and high-profile events, reporting directly to the Director of the ACFR.
Key Responsibilities of the ACFR Administrator include :
Event Coordination and Management : Effectively organising and supporting high-quality ACFR events, including conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
This involves professional correspondence with speakers and participants, as well as efficiently coordinating all logistics, including venue bookings, catering, travel and accommodation.
Administrative and Communications Support : Providing high-quality day-to-day support, managing the ACFR website, and maintaining positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Administration : Processing financial transactions accurately (including domestic and international payments), managing expense coding, tracking, and keeping financial records.
Accuracy in financial administration is crucial for mitigating risk.
ACFR Administrator will be a key contact for high-profile external stakeholders, including international academics and industry partners, representing the ACFR and AUT.
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to prioritise a diverse range of tasks in a timely and efficient manner, managing a varied workload that fluctuates with the events calendar.
Key Requirements for the Role :
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
Proven self-management skills in organisation, task prioritisation, and time management.
The ability to work well autonomously.
Desirable experience (not mandatory) :
Experience in event management (e.g., organising conferences) or the hospitality sector.
Experience working in a tertiary education environment.
Experience with AUT systems for financial transactions and bookings.
You must be self-motivated, proactive, approachable, and trustworthy.
A calm focus is essential for managing disruptions effectively.
