Description
The Company – a force for good in our communities
Christian Savings is not your typical financial services provider.
As a Christian enterprise, they are highly commercial yet fundamentally purpose-led, with a mission to support New Zealand communities and charities through ethical, tailored lending solutions.
They attract like-minded professionals who are motivated to make an impact.
As the only non-bank deposit taker registered as a charity, they are a pioneering force in the sector.
The Role
We're offering an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking finance team in a newly created Accounts Administrator role.
This is your chance to step into a position where you can help build processes and systems from the ground up, bring fresh ideas, and make your mark.
Working closely with a collaborative and experienced leadership team, you'll be part of an environment that genuinely values learning, initiative, and professional development.
You'll gain exposure across accounting, finance systems, and client engagement, with real opportunities for growth as the organisation continues to evolve.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the finance team across all core accounting functions — from bank reconciliations and accounts payable to invoicing and reporting.
Working with Xero and the internal financial systems (Finpower), helping improve and streamline our processes.
Assisting the client engagement team with administration, loan drawdowns, and deposit management.
Playing a key role in developing and maintaining efficient systems and reporting frameworks.
Becoming a go-to team member who helps ensure smooth, accurate, and professional financial operations.
Who We're Looking For
A recent accounting graduate or someone in the early stages of their accounting career.
Someone who's detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative.
A person who thrives in a team environment but can also take ownership of their work.
Strong communication skills, a good grasp of Microsoft Office, and an enthusiasm for learning financial systems.
Why You'll Love Working Here
You'll be joining a supportive leadership team that genuinely values your ideas and is committed to helping you grow.
The culture here is collaborative and forward-thinking, where innovation and improvement are encouraged every day.
As this is a newly created role, you'll have the rare opportunity to shape new systems and processes with fresh eyes and see the impact of your ideas in action.
You'll gain broad exposure across all areas of finance and client operations, building a strong foundation for your accounting career in an environment that's professional, caring, and full of opportunity.
