  • Mō te tūnga | About the role
  • Be responsible for the administration needs of Social Work kaimahi including but not limited to the following :
  • Assistance with financial plans, data collection and scheduling
  • Liaising with vendors, casual staff, and other stakeholders
  • Working with various cultural groups and people from different backgrounds
  • Booking rooms, answering phones, and assisting on the reception desk
  • Organising welcomes / whakatau for newcomers and whānau as and when required
  • Dealing with critical scenarios in a calm, professional manner

  • Key requirements of the role include :
  • Full clean New Zealand drivers licence is required
  • Supporting the team with all aspects of Health and Safety
  • Administration skills such as typing, reporting and responding to Site needs
  • Cultural awareness and an understanding of Tikanga Māori principles
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Strong time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to your audience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and an interest and confidence in using IT systems for recording and setting up financial transactions.
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
