Craigs Investment Partners is offering a rare and exciting entry-level opportunity to join its award-winning Institutional Research team in Auckland, as an Associate Research Analyst.
Responsibilities
The Associate Research Analyst will primarily support the Head of Institutional Research to cover some of NZ's leading publicly listed companies, including in the retirement, healthcare, technology and infant formula sectors, as well as equity strategy.
About you
The successful candidate will be a high achiever with an interest in equity markets, able to work to tight deadlines, and be able to collect, organise and analyse data to drive insight, and present this work to clients.
Qualifications
Suitable candidates will ideally :
Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics.
One to three years direct experience in investment banking, equity analysis, corporate finance or accounting with a leading employer in their respective field.
Knowledge of valuation techniques (DCF, comparable multiples etc) and accounting terms and definitions (e.g. balance sheet items etc).
Ability to navigate data platforms such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv (or similar) and extract data.
Programming skills (for example : VBA, R) that could be used to help procure additional data and insights on covered companies (desirable).
Proven company analysis skills (desirable).

Parental leave – 26 weeks' pay 'top up' for eligible Primary Carers.
