Reservations Sales Agent

We seek a reservations specialist who is passionate about the guest experience to come and join our five‑star team.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to maximise revenue and profitability of room sales, while delivering a superior guest experience and assisting the reservations team in meeting and exceeding sales targets. We look for someone who can work efficiently in a busy office environment and has a passion for delivering unique and memorable guest experiences. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills both over the phone and via email.

What does your Office look like?

A day in the life of a Reservations Sales Agent starts with a team brief to communicate tasks and a plan for the day. The phone line is live from 9 am to 5 pm every day and is busy throughout the day. The inbox is also busy with guest enquiries for new reservations, assistance with existing reservations and internal enquiries – all of which are replied to within a 24‑hour time frame to uphold our five‑star guest service experience. In between guest interactions there are projects and reports that are worked on and developed.

Success Profile

• Reservations experience in a five‑star hotel or resort
• Experience with Agilysys reservations system is highly desirable
• Outstanding administration skill set and strong sales focus with a proactive approach
• High level of attention to detail and exceptional time management and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills and a "can‑do" attitude
• Passion for service delivery at a five‑star level
• Maturity, initiative and confidence – ability to work in a challenging environment
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays
• Enjoys working within a small team and thrives working under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Full time – guaranteed 30 / 40 hours per week
