About the role
We are looking for a part-time Commis Chef, Pastry to join our Kitchen Brigade. You will support the Eight Restaurant, Chandelier Lounge and Banquets, assist with bulk production for multiple outlets, and complete desserts live at the interactive buffet, pairing solid kitchen skills with engaging guest interaction.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with prep, production and plating of pastry items to brand standards.
- Support the Demi Chef and Chef de Partie with day-to-day service.
- Work the interactive buffet, finishing desserts live for guests.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised section; follow HACCP / food safety guidelines.
- Complete mise en place, stock rotation, and basic ordering / receiving as directed.
- Help manage timing on the pass to keep service smooth and consistent.
- Take pride in presentation and create small “wow” moments through quality and detail.
