We are looking for 1  passionate chef to join our busy and fun team.

Job Title :   Chef

Hourly rate : $29.66 -$32

Number of Vacancies : 1

Job Location : Auckland

Employment type : Permanent Full-time

Minimum and Maximum Hours Per Week : 30-60 hours

What are you be doing?

P lanning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

M onitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

D iscussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

D emonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

Pr eparing and cooking food

E xplaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

M ay select and train staff

M ay freeze and preserve foods

Manage high volume cooking efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.

Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen work space

What will you bring?

Relevant  Level 4 qualification or

Minimum 2  years relevant work experience;

Strong knowledge and experience in cooking wok dishes and Chinese specialities ;

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively ;

Excellent communication and teamwork skills ;

Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery preferred but not essential ;

Self-initiative and motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
