Library Services Lead

Overview

Mangere Town Centre Library is part of a vibrant community hub where knowledge, culture, and connection come together.

We're searching for a dynamic and passionate Library Services Lead to drive our services forward and make a real difference in the lives of our community.

This is a full time, permanent role, based on site.

Lead a team of specialist librarians to deliver high-quality library services and community programs.

Work collaboratively with staff and partners to ensure the library is welcoming, accessible, and meets community needs.

Shape library services and practices across the Mangere-Otahuhu Local Board area, responding to local priorities.

Foster a love of reading, learning, and community connection for people of all ages.

About you

Proven leadership skills and ability to inspire and support a team.

Strong knowledge of library and information services.

Excellent relationship management and community engagement abilities.

Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understanding of te ao Maori and te reo Maori.

Salary :

This role is a band H we expect to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of between $103,000 & $120,000 depending on experience & skills.
