Senior Director - Delivery Leadership
In 2023 Slalom opened their first New Zealand office in Auckland, as part of our expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. Two years later, we have almost 50 professionals who, in collaboration with our alliance partners, have built our brand in Aotearoa through delivering high value outcomes that serve the strategic, technological, business and transformational needs of our cross-sector customers.
About The Role
As Senior Director, Delivery Leadership at Slalom, you will lead business strategy and operational excellence across complex client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. You’ll build and scale high-performing delivery teams, drive innovative solutions, and champion best practices to ensure delivery excellence. This role partners closely with Sales Executives, Client Leadership, and Capability Leaders to grow the practice, develop new offerings, and deliver impactful outcomes. You’ll foster a culture of critical thinking, innovation, and inclusion, while managing business operations, talent strategy, and financial performance. Your expertise in consulting, delivery frameworks, and stakeholder engagement will be key to shaping Slalom’s success in New Zealand and beyond.
What You\'ll Do
As a Senior Director, Delivery Leadership, your key responsibilities would include, but are not limited to :
- Build a team to influence, enable, and scale our delivery roles and teams across Slalom to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.
- Grow a practice- partner with our Sales Executives, Client Leadership teams and Strategy & Transformation Capability Leaders to drive revenue.
- Develop high-impact solutions- responsible for solution and / or overall project outcomes; apply best practices to ensure delivery excellence on all engagements.
- Know and serve our customers- create authentic, trusting relationships at many levels.
- Develop and grownew offerings for the Delivery leadership practice.
- Deliver innovative and complex solutions for our clients-lead our most complex engagements alongside our teams.
- Manage business operations- proactively maximise staffing of your team, recruiting, managing performance, and leading pursuits.
- Familiarity with delivery governance and status tracking tools and processes to support oversight and quality assurance on a global project portfolio.
- Provide expert guidance and lead business development opportunities, including writing SOWs and presenting solutions to perspective clients.
- Build collaborative relationships across Slalom, including local market leadership, Build, and other lines of business.
- Be a culture builderwith your team and across Slalom.
What You\'ll Bring
10 years’ experience in a consulting firm, building a high performing team.Demonstrated ability to set and execute vision for delivery leadership, aligning teams and practices with enterprise strategy and client outcomes.Proven experience influencing and partnering with C-suite and senior client stakeholders to drive transformation and business growth across complex, multi-market engagements.Expertise in designing, scaling, and governing delivery frameworks and operating models that enable agility, innovation, and sustained quality at enterprise level.Track record of embedding delivery excellence standards and continuous improvement across portfolios, leveraging emerging technologies (e.g., AI, automation) to enhance productivity and outcomes.Experience leading capability uplift initiatives, including coaching delivery leaders, developing talent pipelines, and fostering high-performing, inclusive cultures.Ability to represent delivery leadership in executive forums, contributing to strategic planning, investment decisions, and enterprise risk management.Comprehensive and applied understanding of consulting business operations, including financial management, strategic planning, and process optimisation at scale.Deep understanding of commercial models and ability to shape delivery approaches that balance client value, profitability, and operational scalability.Recognised thought leader, contributing to industry forums, publications, or internal knowledge communities to advance delivery best practices.Demonstrated success in navigating enterprise change, including M&A integration, operating model shifts, and digital transformation programs.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in team leadership and delivery practices.Our Values
