The Executive Assistant provides high-level, confidential administrative support and advisory tasks, with a focus on coordinating complex schedules and enabling cross-team collaboration across Te Pae Aronui in akonga, community, and learning support spaces.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality, proactive, and confidential administrative support and operational advice aligned with business priorities.Manage diaries, travel arrangements, meetings, financial information, SharePoint content, and logistics efficiently and effectively.Draft clear, plain-language communications and respond to a variety of correspondence.Handle private and confidential information, situations, and issues with professionalism.Be a collaborative team player—flexible, agile, and solution-focused.Requirements / QualificationsAt least three years proven experience specifically as an Executive Assistant supporting senior leaders (experience as a Personal Assistant only is not sufficient).
Ability to manage complex schedules, coordinate high-level meetings, and handle sensitive communications with discretion, strategic insight, and political awareness.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational abilities.Ability to build and maintain relationships across a diverse range of contacts and maintain high levels of discretion and trust in handling sensitive information.Proactive, collaborative approach to supporting senior professionals and identifying risks to ensure successful delivery.Commitment to upholding Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.About our group and teamTe Pae Aronui was established within Te Mahau to provide education sector support and services that are locally responsive, accessible, and integrated.
