  • In this role you will work proactively with the Deputy Chief Executive Delivery, providing high level support that enables the DCE to use their time to focus on and achieve HUD's strategic outcomes.

The Delivery group is responsible for shaping the government investment in housing supply, and the delivery of this investment, as well as supporting a range of housing and support products, tools and programmes.

We work with housing providers and stakeholders across the country.

This role is central to supporting the DCE, Delivery in managing system and organisational level work, including the smooth workflow across the organisation.

This at times may be highly dynamic, complex, sensitive and urgent.

Role responsibilities include :

  • Coordinating workflow across the Delivery group and the wider organisation
  • Communicating effectively and building relationships with others internally and externally to support the smooth flow of information, decisions, and actions
  • Preparing or coordinating information and documentation on behalf of the DCE, including papers, agendas, meeting notes, and actions, with a focus on quality and timely outputs
  • Developing, improving, and maintaining effective administrative systems, and embracing digital technology
  • Coaching others, within your area of expertise, to support organisational ways of working and building their capability
  • Supporting the DCE Delivery by proactively managing their calendar, triaging and responding to emails, and anticipating priorities or admin issues to keep them focused on what matters.
  • The salary range for this role is

  • $89,763 – $109,710 +3%

  • To be successful in this role, you will have :

  • Proven experience in providing organisational and administrative support to executive leaders in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced technical proficiency to support the timely development and flow of information, documentation and processes, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in best practice administrative systems, and a working knowledge of public service processes and relevant legislation
  • Organising, planning and influencing skills to meet competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining the quality of services delivered
  • A track record as a credible and trusted assistant with excellent judgement and decision-making abilities, who knows how to solve problems when to seek guidance and support
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Agility and flexibility to respond to changing priorities and ways of working with ease
  • Intermediate to advanced technical proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications
  • A high level of computer literacy, and agility to learn and champion the use of new tools and applications
  • A team player attitude, who enjoys supporting others to build their capability.
