As part of Fletcher Building, you'll be working in a collaborative environment that values innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.About The RoleAs a Commercial Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis, forecasting, foreign currency management, and performance reporting.

You'll collaborate closely with operational teams to drive profitability and contribute to business growth.

This is a broad, hands-on role that offers exposure across a wide range of accounting and finance activities providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and report on financial performance across the businessTake ownership of forecasting, budgeting, management reporting and variance analysisSupport accurate and timely month-end reporting, including reconciliations and oversight of domestic accounts payableEnsure compliance with FX policies, GST and FBT obligations while delivering financiaux insights that support strategic commercial decision-makingPartner with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunitiesAbout YouYou're a qualified CA with broad industry exposure, bringing strong commercial acumen and passion for driving business performance.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working cross-functionally.You'll BringAt least 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting roleStrong commercial and analytical skills, with a focus on identifying opportunities and driving improvementExcellent communication and stakeholder engagementA team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the drive to go the extra mileTech-savvy, with hands-on experience using JD Edwards, or similar, with strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); exposure to Power BI is advantageousSolid understanding of financial, cost, and management accounting, with strong knowledge of taxation and manufacturing accounting processes advantageousWhy Join Us?
