Financial Accountant

About the role

Reporting to the Accounting Manager you will be responsible for :

• Preparation and posting of month end journals (Leave / Salary accruals, insurance, FBT etc)
• Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations
• Monthly lease accounting journals and lease reconciliations
• Preparation of Income Tax, GST and FBT returns
• Preparation of the year-end financial statements
• Assisting with year-end audit requirements
• Assist with accounting and tax technical matters
• Other process improvement projects

About you

Good verbal and written communication skills would be essential along with the ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines. Attention to detail is a must along with a continuous improvements mind set. Experience with JDE or other equivalent ERP system will be an advantage.
