Commercial Accountant

Winstone Wallboards, home of the iconic GIB® brand, is seeking a commercially savvy and driven Commercial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. As part of Fletcher Building, you’ll be working in a collaborative environment that values innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Commercial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis, forecasting, foreign currency management, and performance reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with operational teams to drive profitability and contribute to business growth. This is a broad, hands-on role that offers exposure across a wide range of accounting and finance activities providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on financial performance across the business
• Take ownership of forecasting, budgeting, management reporting and variance analysis
• Support accurate and timely month-end reporting, including reconciliations and oversight of domestic accounts payable
• Ensure compliance with FX policies, GST and FBT obligations while delivering financial insights that support strategic commercial decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities

About You

You’re a qualified CA with broad industry exposure, bringing strong commercial acumen and passion for driving business performance. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working cross-functionally.
