Lecturer | Kaiako – Primary (0.5 FTE fixed-term, January–July 2026)

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer | Kaiako to join our Primary Teacher Education team for Semester 1, 2026. This part-time, fixed-term role will support teaching and visiting responsibilities across our Bachelor of Education (Primary) and / or Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Primary) programmes.

Key responsibilities :

• Design and deliver course materials, incorporating interactive and engaging teaching methods
• Teach across the Undergraduate and Graduate programmes, including delivering our Mātauranga Māori courses
• Develop and maintain curriculum materials, assessment tasks and resources to support student learning
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students, guiding them through their studies
• Participate in programme and course reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of our offerings
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in tertiary education
• Contribute to the wider life of Te Rito Maioha through committee work and other initiatives.
