Porirua East School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our supportive and vibrant teaching team in 2026. We are looking for a kaiako who values inclusive education, honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The successful applicant will understand the importance of a balanced curriculum that nurtures the safety, wellbeing, identity, language, culture, and academic achievement of all tamariki.

- Is reflective, open to professional growth, and enjoys working in a supportive, community-focused environment.
- Has confidence or developing capability in te reo Māori and a commitment to integrating Māori perspectives into daily teaching practice.
- Has experience or interest in Structured Literacy or is willing to learn and apply these approaches.
