Ruawai College is looking for a passionate and energetic DEAN to join our team of kaiako.

This full-time permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and grow the pastoral care of rangatahi at our school.

The successful candidate will join a team of pastoral leaders who work collaboratively with each other and the senior leadership team to build a robust pastoral network for our akonga.

In

• we will move to a House Dean system, so this role involves an opportunity to shape and set best practice.

As part of the Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS), the dean receives an annual payment of up to $40,000 over five years.

Key Responsibilities

Shape and grow pastoral care of rangatahi at Ruawai College.

Collaborate with pastoral leaders and the senior leadership team to build a robust pastoral network.

Implement and support the upcoming House Dean system.

Ensure compliance with the School Staff Guide to Best Practice at Ruawai College.

Attend and contribute to strategic planning and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Registered with the New Zealand Teaching Council.

Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement salary range $61,678 to $99,216 (based on qualifications and experience).

AEWV accredited school experience preferred.
