About the School

This is a great opportunity to join the team at Kimi Ora School. We are a specialist school consisting of 5 to 21-year-old neuro diverse learners. Our base school is situated in Naenae, Lower Hutt and we have five satellites within the Naenae, Taita, Woburn, Miramar and Evans Bay areas.

Position Summary

We seek enthusiastic, innovative teachers to join our team at one of our Lower Hutt sites where you will be working with our older students aged 12 to 21 years. This involves working alongside other staff in a transdisciplinary manner to enhance their learning and engagement. The successful applicants will be passionate team members who contribute fully to school life and provide a vibrant learning environment for our students.

Our curriculum programmes respond to the individual needs of each young person, working in collaboration with whānau and student voice and we offer the successful candidates ongoing support and professional development.

Salary and Conditions

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the NZEI Primary Teachers Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individual actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
