Your role will be crucial in :
- Providing high-quality, professional care and education to tamariki who have barrier free access to early learning
- Supporting children's curiosity and development through responsive, play-based learning
- Collaborating with our diverse community who we value as tangata whenua
- Building strong reciprocal relationships our community and learners which allows us to meet individual needs
- Teaching our tamariki ages 0-5 years old
- Building professional relationships and collaborative work with the team to provide quality and equitable learning outcomes for tamariki.
Key responsibilities
Implement curriculum aligned with Te Whāriki, adapting quickly to different centre environmentsContribute to planning and evaluation of learning programmes that respond to children's interestsCreate inclusive, equitable learning opportunities that celebrate diversityWork collaboratively with a valued team of kaiako who put tamariki at the heart of everythingWork with our diverse community to meet the holistic needs of the whānauMaintain professional standards and stay current with ECE best practices.Qualifications and experience
NZQA approved qualification in early childhood teaching (required)Full registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand (required)Current practicing certificate (required)Experience working with young children in various ECE settingsAbility to use initiative and adapt to new environments quicklyCommitment to quality practice and the principles of Te WhārikiExcellent communication skills and a positive, 'can-do' attitudeEnthusiasm for making a difference in children's early yearsStrong desire to build connections with whānau and families.Type : Education & Care Service
