Site Owner - Mid Waitaki (Benmore, Aviemore & Waitaki)

Meridian is Aotearoa’s largest renewable electricity producer, generating power from 100% renewable sources—wind, water, and sun!

As Site Owner, you’ll be responsible for the performance and output of the hydro generation sites in your portfolio, with plant availability being a key measure of success. You’ll oversee delivery of project, maintenance, and operational activities across our three Mid Waitaki hydro dams, located between Omarama and Kurow in the Waitaki Valley. You'll ensure work is planned and completed safely and in a manner that meets our generation output targets, and you'll be at the forefront of coordinating work happening on our sites, working alongside our Planning Team.

We’re currently looking for two Site Owners to join our team in the Waitaki Valley and Mackenzie District areas. Depending on your experience and location, you may be considered for either role.

Other key responsibilities include :

• Leading and influencing a workplace culture that celebrates safe work practices, and thereby creating an environment where it is safe to challenge
• Ensuring that we’re responding to the highest priority needs of our customers and stakeholders across the Generation team in a timely and transparent manner
• Building strong relationships to effectively manage tension between site production demands and asset health
• Responding to and managing unplanned plant outages, taking into account risk and loss of generation in doing so.
• Collaborating with our customer, Maintenance, Planning and Engineering teams to prioritise our response where needed
