This senior role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, quality, and innovation across our four national manufacturing facilities.As the National Manager Process Excellence, you'll spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on optimising production machinery, enhancing line efficiency, and investigating efficiency improvements, such as automation.

You'll be involved with quality systems and inventory management, ensuring compliance with ISO and Lloyd's standards while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Collaborating with stakeholders like Location Managers, QHSET, and Procurement teams, you'll develop and execute annual improvement plans, manage capital investments, and drive measurable outcomes that you develop.

Your ability to challenge conventional thinking, inspire change, and deliver practical solutions will be key to success.This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for manufacturing excellence.

You'll bring lean manufacturing expertise, change management skills, and a proven ability to implement ideas in complex environments.

With a focus on bespoke steel solutions for construction and infrastructure, you'll ensure traceability, quality, and efficiency while coaching teams to embrace innovation.

This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of our operations and potentially grow into broader leadership roles within Steel & Tube.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement annual Reo & Wire improvement plans focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and safetyLead end-to-end capital investment projects, from business case to commissioningOversee quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and robust auditingManage inventory practices, collaborating with procurement and operations for efficiencyFacilitate process improvement workshops and coach teams to adopt best practicesDrive change management, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and sustainable outcomesAbout YouBachelor's degree in a business or related discipline; project management certification desirable5+ years in manufacturing, with lean manufacturing and change management experienceStrong project management skills with a track record of delivering measurable resultsExperience with quality systems, inventory management, and bespoke production processesFamiliarity with overhead gantry cranes or heavy manufacturing environments (desirable)Excellent communication and influencing skills to navigate complex stakeholder groupsMinimum 5 years' NZ work experience, with an understanding of local cultureProactive, resilient, and able to balance multiple priorities effectivelyWhy Join Us?
