- About the Role
- The North Island Sarcoma Senior Social Worker will be an experienced practitioner who will develop expertise in the specialty area of sarcoma.
As a key member of the North Island Sarcoma service, you will contribute to service development and foster strong connections with local and regional services to enhance access, coordination, and equity of care across the North Island.
You will also work collaboratively with the wider North Island Sarcoma Service multidisciplinary team members to develop and maintain high quality service delivery in line with operational and strategic direction.This role involves working with patients diagnosed with sarcoma across the North Island, with surgical management overseen at Te Toka Tumai.
The role focuses on providing client / family / whanau-centred care within an interdisciplinary team.
The service supports patients across the cancer continuum, from diagnosis through to survivorship and palliative care.
