Job DescriptionUpdated Collective Agreement : A newly ratified agreement with enhanced conditions.Competitive Remuneration : Starting salary for First Officers is now $118,248, increasing to $121,796 from 1 October 2025.Additional Compensation : Eligible full-time pilots are entitled to receive up to $9,451 annually in compensatory payments, paid monthly (eligibility criteria apply).

With the right qualifications and performance, you could find yourself in the captain's seat sooner than you think.To be eligible for consideration you must meet the following requirements : Hold an Australian ATPL (A) or an Australian CPL (A) with passes in all Australian or New Zealand ATPL subjectsAustralian Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with 2D and 3D endorsementsCurrent CASA Class 1 medicalICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6Minimum 500 hours flight time in fixed wing aircraft; and at least one of the following minimum requirements : 200 hours in command of a multi engine aircraft (excluding PICUS); or200 hours in command of a turbine powered fixed wing aircraft; or200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of two pilots (multi-crew aircraft)Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training certificate or equivalentA current passport with unrestricted access to all Jetstar ports of call with at least 12 months validityAbility to pass a pre-employment medicalThe ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol TestThe ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and / or AVSECHold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Australian permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in AustraliaNote : A current New Zealand ATPL or CPL with Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating must be converted via the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act prior to employment.LifestyleWe value the importance of work-life balance for our pilots, whether you're operating domestic or international flights.
