Overview

Corporate Services Officer (Stored Goods) – Auckland Airport area, Customs - Air Cargo Inspection Facility (parking provided). This is a permanent full-time position within the Stored Goods Team of Corporate Services, reporting to the Team Leader Stored Goods. Hours are 08 : 00–16 : 30, Monday to Friday (inclusive). Salary ranges between $66,261 and $70,609.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a small team dedicated to the management and maintenance of stored goods with a client-centric focus, professional attitude, high integrity, calm manner and sound judgement to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Handle a dynamic, busy workload that may require lifting and standing; be available to work an on-call roster.
  • Holding a forklift licence could be beneficial, but is not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in stored goods is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify issues that require further investigation and to recognise when information may be incorrect.
  • Highly organised, honest and trustworthy; able to be dynamic and adjust as work dictates.
  • Ability to analyse data in spreadsheets and self-audit one\'s work.
  • Full clean NZ Driver\'s Licence.

    To join Customs in any role you must be a New Zealand citizen or NZ permanent resident. This includes being resident in NZ for the last 5 years (continuous) and meeting related requirements. You may have been absent for up to six months in the past five years, with potential restrictions if staying in certain countries; overseas police certificates may be required.

    You must have a verifiable history suitable for security clearance to Confidential level. A clear Police record and drug testing (including random testing during employment) are required.
