- This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step into the world of project coordination, or for an experienced administrator seeking a fresh challenge and the chance to diversify their expertise.
Based at our National Office in Wellington CBD, you'll provide administrative support to the Accelerated Capacity Programme (ACP), which is focused on rapidly increasing prison capacity through targeted, fit-for-purpose infrastructure solutions.You'll work closely with the Programme Director, Programme Manager and a team of Project Managers, helping to coordinate resources, manage documentation and support the smooth delivery of infrastructure projects.
This role offers exposure to a fast-paced programme environment and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector work.If you bring strong time management and administration experience, this could be a great fit.

Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceWe're looking for a motivated and organised Project Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support to the Programme Director, ACP, and the wider team.To be successful in this role you will have :Proficient computer skills with a proven ability using MS Word, Excel, Project and to learn other packages as required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with minute taking is preferred.
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build effective working relationships and working collaboratively.Fantastic time-management and ability to meet deadlines within a busy team environment.Experience in Project administration with knowledge of systems in advantageous but not necessary.Utu a-tau | SalaryThe mid-point of the salary range is $67,988 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $57,824 - $81,586 per annum.Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.Join Ara Poutama Aotearoa - Department of Corrections, where your work will contribute to improving public safety, reducing re-offending, and address the overrepresentation of Maori in correctional facilities.
