Description
The position plays a key role in developing, improving, and implementing processes and solutions that enhance the delivery, efficiency, and quality of our investment services.
This includes assisting with the establishment of standards, specifications, and best practices across all Company investment products and services.
From time to time, you will also assist the Investment Advisory Manager with strategic initiatives, process improvement projects, and other ad hoc assignments as required.
While the role is advertised for Auckland, we are open to other locations.
About You
You are a motivated and detail oriented professional with a background in financial services with a passion for delivering high quality investment service support.
Ideally you will have previous experience as a Financial Adviser or hold a New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), and you will be well versed in the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 and other relevant legislation and trends relating to financial advice.
You will be a confident self-starter that has confidence in building relationships, with a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Review and research performance of investment products within client portfolios.
Provide guidance on how to manage investment and operational risk effectively and advise on identified trends and implications to business performance and associated risks.
Provide Operational Investment Risk and Compliance advice and guidance to the organisation.
Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Risk and compliance management reporting
Keep abreast of industry's trends and research market to ensure the group is at the forefront of operational risk and compliance management.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
4+ years experience in investment planning support or financial advisory services
Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and client outcomes
Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to extract, read and interpret data, identify trends and communicate data driven insights to stakeholders
Sound knowledge of investment products and services, taxation and the legislative and regulatory environment
Previous experience with managing key stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, as well as across various levels
Familiarity with investment platforms, wrap providers, portfolio reporting tools and business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Excel
