Overview

We're looking for a commercially savvy

Senior Pricing Analyst

to join our PlaceMakers Support Office team in Auckland.

This is a pivotal role where you'll help shape and deliver pricing strategies that directly impact gross margin performance across our NZ network of branches bringing your Know How.

About the Role

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you'll partner with the Head of Pricing and wider business to embed best practice pricing at PlaceMakers.

You'll provide in-depth analysis and actionable insights, ensuring our pricing strategies drive sustainable margin growth and market competitiveness.

You'll also be our in-house expert on Pricefx (pricing optimization software) and help lead the rollout of key pricing initiatives nationwide.

Supporting the development and execution of overarching pricing strategies

Delivering analysis and recommendations to optimise pricing and margin outcomes

Providing insights and reporting through KPIs and BI tools

Collaborating with Sales Managers, Branch Operators, and "pricing champions" across the branch network

Engaging with cross-functional teams including Category, Finance, Marketing, IT, and National Sales

Mentoring other analysts within the pricing team

About You

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and can influence stakeholders at all levels.

You'll bring :

A degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline

At least 3 years' experience in pricing or analytical roles

Strong modelling skills and the ability to work with large datasets

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and BI tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Tableau)

Commercial acumen gained in a high paced customer centric environment

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
